Alongside them lies carnation flowers, the Sagittarius birth flower known for its long-lasting nature, which symbolize the strength and endurance of those born under the Sagittarius sign.

In Greek mythology, Sagittarius was a half human half horse named Chiron, but unlike other centaurs, Chiron was kind and wise. One day, he was accidentally shot with a poisoned arrow by Heracles. Chiron was in terrible agony but the wound could not be healed. In order to die and be released from the pain, Chiron gave up his immortality by replacing Prometheus, who was chained as punishment for giving fire to man. Prometheus could not be freed unless someone else took his place, so Chiron agreed. Chiron was then finally allowed to die and be freed from the pain. Zeus, the king of gods, rewarded Chiron's kindness by placing him in the stars as Sagittarius.
