For the passionate and brave Scorpios, this 6" horoscope tray mold features a scorpion holding the Scorpio constellation in his claws. The scorpion is surrounded by red geraniums, the zodiac's birth flower symbolizing their passionate and strong-willed personality.
In Greek mythology, Gaia, the goddess of the Earth and protector of the animals, was angered by a man named Orion who was a fearless hunter. He threatened to kill every animal on Earth, so Gaia sent Scorpio, a giant scorpion, to kill Orion before he could harm more animals. Scorpio stung Orion with his stinger and defeated him. To reward him for his bravery and for saving the lives of all animals, Gaia placed Scorpio among the stars alongside Orion. During the winter, Orion is allowed to hunt peacefully, but as spring comes, Scorpio rises and chases Orion out of the sky.
Design measurements:
Uses approximately 140 ml of resin.
For use with resin or food. Ensure the mold is thoroughly washed before using it with food. Do not reuse for food after it has been used with resin.
Do not use excessive heat as this may damage the mold, including a torch or heat gun.
It is recommended to use casting epoxy resin (not doming/table top resin) meant for deeper pours. Doming/table top resin has been known to damage silicone molds as they are not meant for thick layers. If you are unsure and need resin recommendations, feel free to contact us!
To clean, simply use tape to stick up any dust/lint, or wash gently with soapy water. Avoid the use of sharp objects or solvents as this will dull the shine.
